Lorac TANtalizer Body Bronzer

I'm glad to be back in the D (that's Detroit :). I spent 3 days in Florida this week for work. It was a nice change to be able to wear dresses without tights! But the problem with that is that my legs were looking like Snow White's.

I was running low on time and didn't have enough time to use a self tanner, so I grabbed a sample of Lorac Body TANtilizer I received from Sephora and called it a day. The sample package described it as a 'body makeup' and not a permanent stain like self tanner. I thought I'd check it out as a quick fix!

I put it on Tuesday morning before my client meeting and I was instantly sun-kissed! It smelled great, not like a regular self tanner smell, and went on evenly. I was really impressed with the way it looked. It washed off easily the next morning in the shower. I did get a little on my work bag from carrying it against my arm, but it came off easily with a damp cloth. I would not suggest wearing it with a white dress, pants or top. Please keep in mind, that this does not contain sunscreen!

I'm planning on buying a full size one for my trip to Florida next week, which is an actual vacation!

Gwyneth Paltrow wears NARS at the Academy Awards

NARS worked with celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez to create presenter Gwyneth Paltrow’s red carpet look at the 84^th annual Academy Awards!

"It’s elegantly bronzed,” said celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez for NARS Cosmetics about the red carpet look she created for Gwyneth Paltrow. “The dress makes such a statement, but it also has no color, so we needed to create a makeup look that complemented the dress and was still sophisticated enough for the red carpet. The champagne side of NARS Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow applied on the eyelid for a pop of gold, followed by a Maybelline brown liquid eyeliner along the lashline. The look was finished with NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.

CND Shellac swatches

Today was a day of CND Shellacing! My best friend Tina surprised with me a full on manicure before my business trip this week. Finger soaks, cuticle removal and even a massage. It was so relaxing!

I was debating between neutral Romantique and Asphalt - and decided on Asphalt (below). Bold move for a client presentation, but goes with both of my outfits, so I think I'm all set.

Tina did her nails in Masquerade & Mother of Pearl. She was feeling inspired by Carnival and Mardi Gras :) Along with her base and top coat, she used two coats of Masquerade and one coat of Mother of Pear. Rocking nails.
