Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Cosmoholic Cosmetics Donates

This October, Cosmoholic Cosmetics is donating 10% of the proceeds of the sale of their Prudish Pink Liquid Lipstick to benefit the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.







Prudish Pink (SRP $20.00) is a gorgeous, natural rose pink shade that provides a naturally seductive pout. Its new formula is paraben free and it contains a lip repair kit containing Vitamin C, E and antioxidants. Cosmoholic Cosmetics doesn’t contain any fragrances, but includes vanilla flavors and macadamia nut oil for moisturizing, which give the liquid lipstick its delicious vanilla bean scent.

CND Shellac in Negligee

CND Shellac in Negligee. Beautiful sheer pink, would be a perfect fit with french tips.

It's so nice not having to worry about my nails during the work week. My BFF Tina did them on Sunday, and I'm good to go for the week and then some :) I would highly suggest trying a Shellac manicure out before a vacation or big event. Seriously, no chips!

The only downside is the removal. It takes awhile and you have to use acetone. Other than that, I saw it's worth trying out at least once :)

For the month of October, Dermstore.com is going to have a Breast Cancer Awareness Boutique which will feature specialty products from beauty brands such as Becca Cosmetics, Decleor, Colorscience, Stila Cosmetics, gloMinerals, jane iredale, Sonya Kakar and Alterna, Diana B., and others. All the products sold in the boutique will be contribuing a portion of their proceeds to various breast cancer charities.

In addition to the donations made from the individual brands, DermStore.com will donate 5% of proceeds from each unit sold in the boutique to CEW Foundation's Cancer and Careers program, whose mission is to educate and empower people with cancer to thrive in their workplace by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events.

InStyler Review & Giveaway

I read about the InStyler in magazines, Redbook, US Weekly, Glamour, and was interested in trying it out. The tutorials online showed styling videos for short hair, which was really exciting since hair tools usually aren't a good match with shorter hair.

I used the InStyler in place of my normal flat iron straightener and loved it. I used pictures in the manual and youtube.com videos to make sure I positioned the iron the right way for straightening. Once I got the hang of it, I loved it!

It left my hair silky after straightening, and didn't kink or turn the ends of my hair under like I thought it would. It's a little tricky getting close to your roots since the InStyler is a lot bigger than my straightening iron, so I just went a little slower when straightening my top layers.
