Changing My Look with the Weather...

The weather is changing, so why shouldn't your look? I just got my hair chopped and went darker with some low lights. That's not the only change. I'm wearing darker lipglosses and heavier eye liners. Why? Why not? It's the time of year to switch out your flip flops for Uggs and freshen up your look with trying out new daring things!

I feel like I'm able to wear all sorts of different colors with my new darker, shorter do. I did my eyes in heavy black eye liner today using Loreal's HIP Color Chrome Eyeliner in Black Shock. This eyeliner is super creamy and goes on so well. You sharpen it like a pencil, but it's lot softer. It's described as a liquid pencil.

I swept Senna Cosmetics Pandora shadow over my eyes, and topped it off with Loreal's Telescopic Explosion Mascara. Have you caught wind of this stuff yet? The wand is not your typical mascara wand, it's a ball! It takes a few tries to get use to it, but after that you'll be a pro at coating your lashes lash by lash for a full, long look. It gives me a lot of length, so much that my mom commented the other day 'what kind of mascara are you using?'

I'm also rocking Revolution Organics Freedom Glow beauty balm on the apples of my cheeks and lips. This stuff rocks. It totally brightens up my look and skin. I carry it with me to work so I can apply it at the end of the day, when my skin is looking a little tired or dull, and my blush/bronzer from earlier is wearing off. I was a little hesitant to apply it at first, kind of awkward in it's huge tube, but once it's dabbed on your cheeks it blends really well, almost fool proof. I toss this in my purse as a two for one freshen up for cheeks and lips.

I topped my lips with Tallulah Glossary Mineral Gloss in Berry Godmother. I received this gloss in this gorgeous berry color and in Skinny Dip, which is a shimmery nude. With my hair a little darker, I'm digging it in Berry. This gloss is moisturizing and super shimmery. The packaging is great too, with fun 'kiss' facts on it. One reads: "A high impact kiss quickens your pulse to 100 beats per minute, who needs the treadmill."

I'm feeling like a new person, bring on the cold weather!

Tell me ladies (and gents :), what are you doing to change and freshen your look this season? It doesn't have to be drastic, even if it's trying a new lipstick, let's say, bright red, it can make you feel totally refreshed and daring. Leave me a comment and please, do share!

LUSH Bubble Bars

With the cold weather quickly approaching Michigan, the only way I can really get warm is soaking in a hot bath. I've recently fell in love with LUSH's Bubble Bars. Talk about a little going a long way. You literally just need to crumble off a corner of a bar under running water and the tub will bubble up. My sister-in-law Melissa loves to use them for bubble baths for her kids (and the kids love them too).

After tailgating in the cold and rain for 7 hours this past Saturday I was chilled to the bone. I prepared a bath with a LUSH Bubble Bar and could have soaked for hours. The smell of the almond bar I used filled my whole bathroom and bedroom. Make sure to have a soap dish or little baggie on hand to put the left over bar in.

Starting at $5.95 a pop, I suggest trying it out. I would guess you could get about 5-7 baths out of it, depending on how many bubbles you like to have and the size of your bathtub. They're a great size and price for stocking stuffers too :)
