LipMonthly Review

I think it's pretty obvious that I'm obsessed with lipgloss, based solely off of the name of my site. I love trying new lip balms, glosses and lipsticks, and I'm always reading about the latest and greatest in lip products.  I recently learned about LipMonthly, which is a new monthly subscription service for lip products. How perfect does this sound?!?

For $10 a month, you'll get a curated box of lip balms, stains, lipsticks, and/or glosses. In my first box, I received the following:
- Stila lip liner in Fuchsia
- GlamNatural gloss in Poco Loco 
- Hard Candy Lip Tattoo lip gloss
- Lipology gloss

LAQA & Co. Fat Lip Pencil Review

I love finding new makeup brands. It's like finding a hidden gem! I was recently introduced to LAQA & Co. by Gloss48. They are a New York based cosmetic company that sets the bar high for their products. They focus on convenience for their products, which I can definitely appreciate it!

I was able to try out their Fat Lip Pencils, which are glossy lip pencils in a handy jumbo pencil. You may cringe when thinking of a lip pencil, usually dry, and always seem to need sharpening, but these are different. Fat Lip Pencils are super glossy and no sharpener needed. They twist up when they get low. 

I was able to try out Wolfman, which is a creamy soft pink, and Fairyblood, which is a shimmery peach. Wolfman is my new go-to gloss. I'm a pink girl, and I can wear this during the day and out at night. And no extra gloss needed, these are pretty shiny!

Fun fact about the packaging: LAQA & Co. uses young artists looking to get their work seen by lots of people to design their packaging. The artists also get a cut of the profit from every product purchased...so cool!

Inglot AMC Lipgloss and Nail Polish review

I made my first Inglot purchase this past weekend. The husband and I got rained out from the pool in Fort Lauderdale, so we took a short trip to Aventura Mall. The Inglot store caught my eye and I had to stop in.

I learned from the sales rep that Inglot, a Polish cosmetics company, has been around for 25 years, but only in the US for the last 5 years. There are only 6 store fronts in the US, and lucky me, stumbled upon of them! In case your wondering (like I was), it’s pronounced ‘in-glot,’ just how it looks.

The products and store layout reminds me a lot of MAC Cosmetics. There’s definitely no shortage of bright, fierce colors. Inglot allows you to build your own palettes, which is really cool. I was immediately drawn to the lip glosses, and went ga-ga over the AMC glosses.

I tried a few on in store and decided on shade 542. This picture does not do this gloss justice. This gloss looks great by itself, but when layered over a lipstick, more of the pearlescent colors come out, changing when viewed from different directions. Layering it over a lipstick also helps it to stay on longer.

Near the cashier was a table full of marked down items and of course, I had to get this polish that caught my eye. I’m always looking for more neutral colors that will go with several different outfits and is work appropriate. This creamy beige matte is perfect for daily wear and will pretty much compliment any color outfit I wear. It’s suppose to be matte but I applied a glossy top coat to help it last longer.

So my first impression of Inglot is a good one. I have a new favorite gloss and a new every day nail color. I’m sold! Looking forward to trying out more of their glosses and building an eye color palette that can be used for both day and night looks!

I love keeping this type of lipstick on me at all times. It’s a great staple for a travel bag or purse. Since the colors are sheer and soft, the shades will go with pretty much any outfit you wear. You can also add a glitter gloss to dress it up for night or wear it alone for during the day.

If you're looking for a new lipstick or lipgloss to try, I would highly recommend checking the available colors out at your nearest drugstore. There are 20 shades in the line. Definitely one for every skin tone. My favorites are Lust for Blush, Pink Possibilities, Oh La Lilac, & Go Nude. You can check out all of the shades on Maybelline.com, but remember, they always look very different depending on skin tones.

I was a little surprised by the plastic paddle applicator but it helps the gloss to go on smooth. Think Spring with COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm

I really can't complain...it's February 14th (Valentine's Day!) and we just now got a few inches of snow in Michigan. It's around 20 degrees out and slippery, but it's pretty much the first time this winter we've had this much snow, so no sad faces here! I am just focusing on Spring, which is just around the corner :)

This Spring you can find me with my sunglasses on (just got lasik!), a dress, and lots of SPF for my face and body. For those who know me, I'll also have a lipgloss in hand, preferably with SPF.

Currently my lipgloss of choice is CoverGirl's new NatureLuxe Gloss Balm with SPF.  More of a balm than a gloss, it provides full color with a few swipes and is very moisturizing. I tried out Thistle, which is a pinkish purple and loved it. Definitely a Spring color that will go with everything.

Lip Savvy! Review

There's a first time for everything... a few weeks ago I was in an airport bathroom applying lip gloss and a lady came up to me and flipped over my lip gloss. I thought she was going to snatch it from me! I was using Lip Savvy!, a new gloss that offers high shine and offers painless plumping action to hydrate lips and target fine lines and wrinkles. She loved the fun packaging and the color, and I wasn't surprised, because so do I!

Lip Savvy! glosses come in 22 shades in two different textures. I tried out Sho Bunny in the shine gloss and loved it. It's a very pretty soft pink, with the perfect amount of glitter.

Lancôme L'Absolu Crème De Brillance

Lancome made my day with L'Absolu Creme De Brillance. It's a cross between a gloss and a balm, goes on smooth and is super hydrating. The secret ingredients are:
*Shine boosting oils and light diffusing pearls that provides a rich color
*Pro-Xylane boosts hydration within the skin
*Glycerin and hyaluronic acid hydrate lips by pulling water from the environment and help it stay put

I was fortunate to try this in Blush Classique. The color is super rich and makes my lips look fuller. The sponge applicator is my favorite, you don't have to worry about individual bristles separating and becoming messy.
