Spa Week!

You know what's great about Fall? Not so much the weather change or football...but Spa Week! I had the privilege to visit Indigo Salon, Day Spa and Boutique in Canton Michigan to try out one of the packages they are offering for Spa Week. I got a deep conditioning hair treatment and spa pedicure. It was the perfect combo before I headed to a wedding that afternoon.

I arrived at Indigo late morning. It was my first time at the salon and was so excited to see that the salon was built in an old house...I love businesses in houses! They were so warm and welcoming at reception. The cozy feel of wooden flooring and soothing spa scents really puts stress out of mind and allows you to relax. Their waiting room (pictured below) has comfy chairs and pillows, soothing music and magazines. They also gave me a warm neck wrap to wear while I was waiting for my first treatment.

I received my conditioning treatment first. One of Indigo's hair stylists, Sabrina, shampooed my hair and applied Loreal's Power Repair B conditioning treatment. After letting it sit for a few minutes she massaged it into my scalp and then rinsed it out. She did a great job at blow drying and styling my hair, and I was good to go for the wedding I was attending that night!

Next was my pedicure. Hands down, it was one of the best pedicures I have ever received. Season performed my pedicure, and took her time, and I could tell. She let me soak for awhile which I love (I hate when you're only able to soak for a few minutes before they get to work) and was relaxed with a shoulder massager and gossip magazines. They also serve what they call 'frappevino,' which is a wine slushie. I tried saying no, but one sip lead to an entire glass (very little alcohol is in them).

She took her time filing and with my cuticles, and her massage was amazing. She used Rinse Bath & Body Co Peppofoot Stick to soften rough spots which smelled amazing. I ended up getting a deep pink color on my toes, and for $2 extra, she bottled up a 'to go' nail polish bottle for me, for touch ups. I thought this was such a neat idea, especially since I'm always paranoid my color will chip and I won't have a bottle with me to touch up.

My experience at Indigo Salon was above expectations. Their facilities and staff were amazing. $50 for the two treatments I received is a great deal, and there are plenty more great deals waiting to be had at SpaWeek.com (and check out the Spa Week app!). It starts next week, so book quickly!
