First Facial

Friday, after work, I treated myself to my first ever professional facial. It's scary when I splurge on things like this because there is a very good chance that I'll get addicted. I think I just may with this...

I made an appointment to get an express/mini facial at AvaShay's Salon in Brighton MI. There were two different options to chose from: a regular facial or a pumpkin mask facial. I opted for the regular one, with the guidance of licensed Esthetician, Barbara, since it was my first time and I was a little nervous as to how my skin would react.

While filling out the initial paperwork since it was my first facial there, I had a glass of wine and had a chance to unwind from work. The facial started with a cleansing, and ended with a mask, serum and moisturizer. I don't remember what happened in between too clearly since I dosed off a bit :)

My face felt so smooth afterwards and it felt good knowing that my pores were thoroughly cleansed. Barbara used Bioelements and Tao products for my facial, and so far, so good, no breakouts or sensitivity.

If you're looking to treat yourself to something relaxing, and want to spend less than you would on a massage, check facial prices around your area. A 30 minute facial should cost anywhere from $25 - 40, depending on any add-on's you may want. Not only is it relaxing, but it's a great treat for your skin.
